Co-founder & Executive Chairman

With a background in real estate Piers founded his first business Reef Estates in 2001 which went on to trade as Reef Group and then in 2024 Reef Origin launched to respond to macro changes driving global economies.  Reef Origin have significant operating platforms and expertise in real estate, infrastructure and technology delivering projects with a total enterprise value in excess of £20 Bn.

His investment philosophy operates at the cross roads of the digital, knowledge, carbon and real asset economies with a focus on ESG funding.   Whilst still operating in the traditional real estate sectors he increasingly focuses on the life science, knowledge, Industry 4.0, digital and energy infrastructure and venture capital sectors through his Reef Global division. 

Aside from his Executive Chairman and Chief Executive role at Reef Origin Piers is also a founding investor and Board Director to nuclear space and terrestrial energy company, Perpetual Atomics and carbon credit platform Xange.com.

A qualified Chartered Surveyor he holds a BSc (Hons) in Estate Management from Liverpool John Moores University and a MSc in Property Investment (Finance) from City University.
